BABESHADOW

Tripping on a summer ray of good vibration moonshine, Babe Shadow are an Arcadian beat-combo for our time. They make a buoyant and lovelorn guitar-twanging kind of pop music, for hot nights and romancers and dancers. Their intentions are pure.Tom and Dave Shadow co-write all the songs, an acoustic guitar each, in the time-honoured and good-old-fashioned way. Their influences are "fifties and sixties music with clean guitars." They say they particularly like "Marc Bolan" and some old band called "The Beatles." In a scene clogged up with shoegazers and twittering electronics, Babeshadow are happy pagan luddites. There are no special effects at work here beyond cigarette smoke and mirrors.

L.A.S.E.R. is an anglo-italian duo formed in Northern Italy during late 2006. The official acronym for their name stands for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”, but no one really knows if that's the real meaning behind it: it's a mystery that only time will solve. Their productions are heavily sample based and the use of distortions and effects manages to deliver a ...characteristic sound that can only be described as a flashy electro-rock meltin' pot. Their journey started as a bedroom project influenced by their own musical tastes: rap meets rock with a funky twist and a pop overtone, all sapiently driven by 4/4 heavy beats. Undoubtedly and deeply “French Touched” by legends such as Daft Punk, their research in the realms of sound continues to this day, always trying to renew themselves and push the musical boundaries of today's music a little further. Coming from different backgrounds, this eclectic duo combines love for the crowd with an egotistical and very personal choice of sound and modus operandi: their focus is in the music, always. Their effort in delivering a powerful yet original 'sonic attack' during their sets is omnipresent, like the “in your face” basslines or mind-bending synths that very often depict their tracks. They are not trend setters nor are they hipsters, they're just two kids with a passion and a kinky style that might just happen to, due to some bizarre fluctuation in the space-time continuum, blow you away.

VEGAMOORE

VEGAMOORE are two italians live electronic performers and producers who loves the analog sounds.
The two,coming from different musical experiences,one from classics studies and one from grunge scene,decides to put together their feelings and make some electronic music.
Every set is ownproduced and everytime different,they mash up house,electro,techno and rock,inspired by the situation and followin...g the floor.
The project starts in 2008 and an less than a year they becamed one of the more interesting reality of the electro italian scene,playing in a lot of clubs and parties with a lot of international dj's.
In the latest 2010 they start to releasing music on labels with remixes and ep and now they're working to a lot of new stuffs and making interesting collaborations.

Diamond Society was founded in 2010 as a booking agency specializing in drum and bass.
During 2011 the members decided to expand and diversify their fields of interest in Dubstep, Electro, Break and Live Shows. Many promoters, producers, djs, photographers and videographers are put in contact with the agency.
Now Diamond Society is a music agency that provides various services, from simple graphic design to full production and promotion of an event.

SOMETHING ABOUT RONI SIZE?

Roni Size (born Ryan Owen Granville Williams, 29 October 1969, Bristol) is a British record producer and DJ, who came to prominence in 1997 as the founder and leader of Reprazent, a drum and bass collective. That year they won the Mercury Prize for their album New Forms.

He resurrected Reprazent in 2008 with the release of a deluxe edition of´New Forms on Universal.

Williams, son of Jamaican immigrants, grew up in the Bristol suburb of St. Andrews. He cites reggae as one of his early influences. He was expelled from school at the age of 16 and started attending house parties run by Bristol soundsystem The Wild Bunch (a predecessor of Massive Attack). He learned the basics about music production at his local youth club, the Sefton Park basement project, which provided record players, a mixing desk, drum machines and samplers. He worked with his brother’s comprehensive collection of Studio One records and later set up a home studio, buying a sampler.

His future musical partner, Krust, had been a member of the Fresh 4, whose “Wishing On A Star” reached the Top Ten of the UK Singles Chart in late 1989. Williams, Krust, Suv and DJ Die founded Full Cycle Records.

Aided by Chris Lewis, Roni Size founded the record label WTP (“Where’s The Party At?”) as part of Circus Warp, and in 1993 Full Cycle and Dope Dragon were established in 1993 from that.

... Ryan Williams, meglio conosciuto come RONI SIZE, è nato in quell’angolo di Inghilterra che è Bristol, cittadina decisiva per la nascita di autentici fenomeni della musica mondiale come Tricky, Massive Attack e ovviamente lui, Roni Size.
Roni Size è il figlio delle contraddizioni culturali della Gran Bretagna: è di origine jamaicana e, come tanti figli delle ex colonie, la sua vita è una miscela di esperienze e stimoli culturali che prenderanno forma nella sua musica dove sono riconoscibili l’influenza dell’ hip hop (iniziò a fare musica – pare – dopo aver visto il primo film sul rap: “Wildstyle”), della scena reggae dub di Bristol (agli inizi, Size suonava insieme al Sound System dalla cui costola nasceranno i Massive Attack) e soprattutto della generazione di giovani ragazzi inglesi travolti dall’energia dell’epoca rave.
Grazie a tutto questo, e ad una predisposizione innata per il suono e le sperimentazioni, Roni Size è diventato, nel giro di 12 anni, il numero 1, fondando anche la sua etichetta, la Full Cycle Records. L’apporto di Size nella definizione della musica jungle è visibile a tutti, anche se lui ci tiene a non essere considerato il portavoce del movimento nè il personaggio chiave nella definizione del genere drum ‘n’bass: «Non ho mai pensato a quello che faccio necessariamente in termini di drum’n’bass, non ho mai pensato al drum’n’bass in termini di "nuovo jazz". Sono solo semplificazioni. Avevo una visione, e la visione si è fatta via via più definita man mano che procedevo”.
